Clean Break
Privacy policy
I collect your email when you join an availability waitlist. I also use optional website analytics to learn which pages people visit. I load Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. I configure it to send only the page views and App Store clicks described below.
Availability waitlist
When you submit a waitlist form, I receive your email address, the app label attached to the form, and the page path where you submitted it. The site stores your lowercased email address, the app label, and an updated timestamp in Google Firestore. I use this record to keep your availability request and contact you about availability.
After Firestore accepts the signup, the site asks Resend to deliver a notification to my Gmail inbox. That message contains your email address, app label, page path, and the notification time. The Firestore record can remain even if that notification fails.
Rate limiting
The server reads your IP address and keeps recent request times in server memory to limit repeated submissions within one minute. It does not write your IP address to Firestore or include it in the Gmail notification.
Retention and deletion
The site does not set an automatic deletion date for the Firestore waitlist record. To ask me to delete your signup, email the contact address below from the address you submitted.
What I measure
After you accept, I record the page you visit. If a page includes an App Store product link, I also record when you click it. That record includes this site, the app, a cleaned page path, the link's fixed position, a valid Apple campaign token when one exists, and a broad source such as search, social, referral, or direct. I do not send button text, complete campaign parameters, the browser's full URL or real referrer, form entries, email addresses, health answers, or user IDs to Google Analytics.
When I enable Google Analytics, I send this site's origin, a cleaned page path, and a generic same-site referrer instead of the browser's current URL and real referrer. I turn off Google advertising signals and ad personalization. I keep Google Analytics off unless I have confirmed that automatic page-change and outbound-click measurement remain disabled.
What I store on your device
- I save your analytics choice in local storage so I can remember it.
- After you accept, I save one record for the current browser session that groups how you first reached the site, such as search, social, referral, or direct. It may include a recognized source hostname. I do not store complete campaign parameters, query strings, or full referrers.
- Google Analytics may set analytics cookies only after you accept.
Your choice
You can join the waitlist without accepting analytics. You can also change your analytics choice at any time: choose Analytics settings at the bottom of any page, then choose Stop analytics. I clear the saved attribution and Google Analytics cookies, then I stop sending future analytics events after you turn analytics off.
If your browser cannot save a refusal, I still stop analytics for the current page and tell you that it did not save your choice. You can try again so your refusal survives a reload.
Analytics provider
I use the shared Doved iOS App Sites Google Analytics property. Google processes accepted analytics data under its own privacy policy.
